It all started when…

I so desperately wanted to take better photographs of my kids, and realized how awful all my pictures were. Like hideous, awful. Like demon possessed red eyes, and cropped at a tilt awful. I purchased my first real DSLR in 2009 just after the birth of my 3rd baby, and dove head first into anything I could get my hands or my eyes onto in how to create that soft/blurry background I saw so many pro photogs doing. Which resulted in out of focus, fuzzy, uninteresting photographs of blades of grass, flowers, and a sliver of focus on a tennis ball, I mean, really beautiful stuff here (insert eye roll). Yeah, I was the real deal.

Fast forward through much trial and error, about 50 different logos, 6 websites, and a flash I had to have,  and here I am still tying to figure out what the heck I'm doing, mostly. I started focusing on high school senior portraits for the class of 2014, and finished out the year photographing about 13 seniors. Last year I completely booked up and finished the year with over 40 seniors for the class of 2018. Not too shabby.

I am thrilled to be working in a field where I have cultivated new and lasting friendships not only with my incredible clients but with other colleagues both locally and throughout the nation. I have had opportunities to attend workshops and conventions to help stay at the forefront of the portrait world with fresh, innovative, and current content. I have been nationally published, recognized and featured on many platforms for my portrait work and continue to push myself creatively.

I would love to get to know you and share your story through the world of photographs, because the only thing we have left are the photographs that we hold cherish, and pass down, for they are our legacy.
